OBJECTIVE
Stalker is a revolutionary new game created by The Student Center. The objective of the game is to be the ulimate stalker. The game is very simple and fun to play. Here's what happens: first you must join a game. Once enough people have signed up for the game, everyone is assigned a "target". Your mission is to surf around the sites of The Student Center and fight the people in your game. You can fight with anyone in the game but you only get the extra bonus when you kill your target. As you fight and kill more stalkers, your experience goes up until you gain a level, you then have the choice of distributing your skill points among three fighting skills. That's about it! Basically, the more people you kill the higher your skills become and the harder it becomes for others to beat The last person alive in a game wins. So good luck in becoming the best of the best!

USING THE STALKER INTERFACE
Below is a screenshot of the main interface you will be using for stalker. The main interface is called Stalker Console:

You will need to have this interface open while you play stalker. A good strategy for playing stalker is to tile the window you are using to browse The Student Center next to the stalker interface. This way you can move around The Student Center and see your stalker interface at the same time. The following is a description of the different parts of the stalker interface:
  • Your Name - Your stalker name is displayed on the stalker console for your convenience

  • Global Game - Free for all is a game that you do not need to explicitly join to be part of. Every stalker is part of this game.

  • Custom Game - Any other games (appear in red on the console) are the ones you have joined.

  • Your Target - Your target appears in red, when you kill someone who was your target you get extra exp points bonus and get their target as your new one.

  • Fellow Stalker - All other players online appear in black, you can fight any one of them by selecting them and clicking on the stalk button.

  • Selected Stalker - Any stalker you click on gets highlighted in blue. When you click the stalk button, your battle begins.

  • Stalk Button - The main button of the game, you start fights by clicking here.

  • Stalker Chat - Here you can chat with anyone in the game and see who is currently connected.

  • Your Location - Your location on the Student Center site is displayed here. You only see people on the list that are at the same location as you are.

  • Your Stats - Clicking this button will display your stalker stats. When you gain a new level. From here you can also distribute points to your skills.

  • System Status - Wait until the status bar says, "Ready", before you start stalking. If the bar says, "Disconnected", try closing the interface and then relaunching it.

  • AutoLaunch - By default the stalker interface will load up when you log on to The Student Center. If you do not want this to occur, check the "Don't auto-launch game" button and hit OK.
CHARACTER STATS
Below is a screenshot of the stats info window of your stalker. This window can be accessed by clicking on the stats button from your Stalker Colsole:

  • Level - Your stalker level is the overall label to others on how good you are in combat. Your level is gained through experience points which you get as a bonus upon a combat victory.

  • Experience Points - Ever time you get a sucesfull kill, you get rewarded a few experience points. The amount of experience points rewarded is determined by factors such as opponent's level, whether or not your opponent was your target and whether or not you had won a custom game. When you kill the last person in a custom game your get much more points.

  • Combat Skills - You have three combat skills: Weaponry, Tactics and Covert Ops. Each of these skills splits into two subcategories - attack and defense.

  • Primary Skill - Out of three of these skills, your highest attack skill automatically gets selected as the skill you will always fight with. Each skill has its own advantages and disadvantages against other skills.

  • Weaponry - Weaponry attack is the basic combat skill that you start with as your default primary skill. When you fight with someone whose primary skill is covert ops your weapons will do double the damage. Therefore weaponry has an advantage against Covert Ops. You have to watch out for people with tactics as their primary skill however due to the fact that they will have advantage against you.

  • Tactics - Tactical combat is the ability to use your opponent's power against themselves. When tactics is your primary skill, you can inflict double the damage against stalkers with weaponry as their primary skill. Be careful of other stalkers with Covert Ops as their primary however, these stalkers will have the double damage bonus against you.

  • Covert Ops - The ability to perform surprise assaults and other tricks without the blatant use of force as in weaponry. As a primary skill, this one goes good against tactics due to the fact that there is no force to be used against you by tactical fighters. Be careful of weaponry users.

  • Defense - Each of the three skills contain a defense subcategory. The defense is the ability to deflect the damage of your opponent's primary skill. It is usually a good idea to keep all three of the defense values up high to avoid making yourself vulnerable to either three of the attack types. Your defense is not dependent upon your primary skill type, in fact the defense is selected based on what your opponent is attacking you with so if you attack with weaponry and your opponent is hitting you with tactics, your tactics defense points are going to be used to deflect your opponent's damage.

  • Distribution Points - When you gain a level, you are rewarded with a few distribution points. These are the potential points of your skills. Using the stats window, you may distribute these points among the six of your stats as you chose. Keep in mind that your highest attack skill will be your primary skill. If all three are equal, the top most gets selected as your primary.

  • Special Moves - In every attack type, you have a chance of hitting your opponent with a special move. Special moves do a lot of damage so if you get lucky you could beat a stalker of a much higher level than you.
TIPS AND STRATEGY
  • Go For The Points! - Sitting around in the Free For All game and trying to kill everybody that passes by is not going to give you that many experience points, especially if most people are at lower levels. Try aiming higher and joining a few custom games from the stalker website. In a custom game you get double the points when you kill someone who is your target (Appears in red) and you get as many points as the player count in the game when you actually kill the last stalker in that game (and win of course).

  • Find Your Niche - Remember that the skills that you chose to adjust when you gain a level do have their advantages and disadvantages against other skills. So if you notice everyone running around with Weaponry as a primary skill, it would be a good idea to make yours tactis, then you'll be able to beat a lot of these people because tactics does double damage against weaponry.

  • Flee! - When you get a sense that you are about to lose a fight, don't just wait to be killed. You can run! Simply move to another site. Keep in mind that your opponent will see which site you ran away to and they can easilly come after you. So if you run, make sure you hop through a few sites on SC. Each time you move you also get some extra health.

  • Agressor Can't be a Coward! - When you attack somebody first, once the fight started you can't run away, only they can. But when they do run away you can move around the site until you bump into your opponent again and the fight continues. If you wait longer your fight will time out.

  • Teamwork! - The chat and private messenging feature was not put into stalker without a purpose. With the help of chat you can meet new people to team up with and plan your strategies. With a team of stalkers you can take down even the highest level player. All you have to do is take turns attacking them until they either die or flee to a safe site.

  • Safe Haven - Safe sites appear in yellow on your stalker console. Fear no one when you are in a safe site unless of course you are either (a) already in a battle or (b) are a member of a game that has safe sites disabled. Otherwise use safe sites to get healed and ready to go.
